MANILA, Philippines – It is indeed a fight for love.

Alyssa Valdez, the most famous volleyball girl of the Ateneo Lady Eagles, had rejoiced over the success of her team against the De La Salle University Lady Spikers last Sunday, April 10. Meanwhile, Mika Reyes, one of the famous volleyball girls of the Spikers, had been saddened by their school’s loss and is determined to win back the glory next time.

Due to insistent demand from various fans of both camps to have a rematch between two schools, Kiefer Ravena had finally decided to hold a rematch between Ateneo and De La Salle. With the help of his friends as promoters of the said event, the First Kiefer Ravena Cup will be held again at the Mall of Asia Arena. Details on the date and time of the event will be finalized.

Ravena had told, “Since the first cup is just a starting phase, we will offer only volleyball and nothing else. Pero kung gusto ni wifey (Alyssa) at ni Mika ng ibang laro, puwede naman.” (But if wifey and Mika wants other sports, we will add them.)

In the said competition, the schools will not play any particular role over the two teams. Instead, the names of two teams will be “Team Alyssa” and “Team Mika”. With regards to the coaches of the two teams, Alyssa Valdez had picked Ryan Bang for the role, while Mika Reyes picked Grace Lee. The referree of the game is none other than Kiefer Ravena himself.

Awards for the team who will win in the cup will be cash prizes for the players and the winning coach, and sash and cup for the lead player (either Alyssa or Mika).

Some fans of both teams had commented over the start of the Ravena Cup. One fan from “Team Alyssa” told, “Nakakakilig talaga ang tatlo kapag naglaban ulit. Ewan lang natin kung sino ang papanigan ngayon ni Kiefer.” (I felt in love if they played the game again. We don’t know whose side Kiefer is now.) A fan agreed with her and also added, “Sinumang manalo sa larong ito, hindi lang panalo sa laro, panalo pa sa puso ni Kiefer.” (Whoever wins the game, not just won the game, but also won Kiefer’s heart.) Another fan from “Team Mika” replied, “Aabangan ko talaga ito. Titingnan ko kung naka-move on na ba siya kay Mika o hindi.” (I’ll watch this. I’ll see if he has moved on from Mika or not.) Sources had told that fans from Team Mika will sing a theme song “Muling Ibalik” just to distract and shift Kiefer’s focus on Alyssa to Mika.

As of press time, the managers of First Kiefer Ravena Cup had not released some details over the game for security purposes. However, sources had told that the theme for the game was “Fight for game, fight for love.”
