SWOT Analysis: CPA Board Exam

Mahirap baguhin iyan (External Factors).

Feel free to add or subtract sa mga nakalista diyan, depende sa estado ng buhay mo ngayon. Sana makatulong ito para pagplanuhan ang life-changing goal sa buhay: ang maging CPA in the future.

Strengths:

  • Establishing linkages sa mga kapwa reviewees.
  • Laging nakikinig sa lectures at perfect sa attendance
  • Faith in God
  • Having general knowledge

Weakness:

  • Mahinang kalooban

Threats:

  • Low passing rate
  • Changes on accounting syllabus

Limesoda (라임소다) – Wave: MV Review

For variety purposes we will include another underrated group Limesoda with their latest comeback called Wave.

For a bit of info, it is composed of three members named Jangmi, Hyerim, and Seungji, under D Maker Entertainment. We are adding underrated girl groups to help in promoting them, albeit in small way.

Storyline as whole

While the storyline was quite unclear, as it did not define exactly what the title is all about, viewers can make a good deal out of things featured. These include old radio (1:47), sparkling globe (1:57 – 1:58, 2:09), and old phone (3:07).

With regards to music, popping tune dominates most parts of the song. Usual instrumentals were used in the chorus. For its choreography, I find the steps very simple and easy to learn.

For such a comeback of rookie groups like this, some improvements must be worked out. First, it is suggested that they create more bop tunes to keep them afloat. That would possibly help in making them stand out in the sea of K-Pop.

Second is on providing a clearer storyline. As of this moment, it’s difficult to figure out what does the two clear cubes represent. Also, the storyline is written in Korean, making it difficult to understand what the music video is all about.

Review by others

Just like the author, TheBiasList only reviewed the group for the first time. The good thing was that albeit it attached to Blackpink’s success, they managed to come up with different concept. The vacuum of instrumentals allowed them to use their voices, and the chorus uses “addictive”, beat-heavy energy. Points for improvement are on build-up needed at the second verse, and refinement of chorus to make it stand out.

ONF (온앤오프) – Why: MV Review

It’s the first time we will review ONF, in their song Why. For a bit of info, their name suggests two states: On and Off. They are composed of six members, divided into two sub-groups, and are under WM Entertainment, same agency that handles Oh My Girl.

Meanwhile, it’s sad to hear that another member, Laun, left the group. This happened during their promotions, and therefore, they need little adjustments before giving comebacks. We’ll see if ONF will recover on this, as we rate agencies at year-end. Let’s start!

Storyline as whole

Their story tells of them visiting nature and old buildings. Sensing danger, they run to avert the supposed crime, or investigate on it.

The quirky tune at the chorus suggests the fun side it may bring to the MV, albeit not apparent in the visuals. On the other hand, the verse before second chorus suggests that of Stray KidsSide Effects.

Special effects are employed, like falling meteorites and time-warp door. Meanwhile, they made a good deal featuring Eiffel tower (0:25).

Some symbolisms are used in the MV. First, hiding with mask represents using it to escape accountability while committing crimes. Second, the key being held by member represents authority. Finally, the gun represents threat. Summing up:

Being in authority has its own power. Oftentimes some abuse it, while hiding in the mask to escape accountabilities.

For a bit of improvement, they have to provide a storyline. This is something unclear, being written in Korean.

I consider them still as a rookie group, even if they debuted three years ago. In fact, being less familiar to K-Pop fans, this is also being advertised, which I understand.

Review by others

KPopReviewed dissected the performance with respect to previous track We Must Love. While the latter exudes vibrancy, the newest track is reserved and heavy. Vocals were polished, and song gives different vibes. Dynamic instrumentals hold the song together, and that was their mature track so far.

TheBiasList noted the “sparse” schedule for a rookie group, since they only released a single comeback this year. Why has an “interesting” composition, and its tunes are placed in context. In a way, this track really stood up to the phrase “quality over quantity.” For a bit of improvement, the second verse should’ve been used to color the second half of the song.
