SEOUL, South Korea – Nameless no more.
Fans of new K-Pop group TXT need not worry as the group themselves unveiled their fandom name last August 22. This was unveiled through their live video and their official Twitter page:
It can be remembered that the group lacked fandom name for five months. Initially, they took on the fanclub name and afterwards retracted due to being similar with that of Tiffany Young’s. From then on, Big Hit Entertainment accepted submissions from fans, till the group thought of it deeply.
Even if TXT had to cancel various meet-ups due to health issues, they beamed their smiles on the new identity of their fans. The fandom name MOA (모아) stands for “Moments of Alwaysness,” which tells of their wish to be together with their fellow members and their fans forever.
As a sign of gratitude for fans for being one of most-recognized rookies, the group plans to hold a new concert. Beomgyu initially wanted to hold their first performance at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines. He further told, “우리는 이제 모아에서 필리핀 모아와의 회의에 흥분합니다.” (We are now excited on meeting with our Filipino MOAs at the MOA.)
Meanwhile, Smart Araneta Coliseum expressed its sadness of its name not being picked as fandom name.
“We are saddened by their preference. Fandom name might have been named after us, or be nicknamed Big Dome. However, we respect their decision.”
